Is the first section of the enclosure, the waiters sing to San Fermin 3 times before starts. The bulls out of the pens by the slope of Santo Domingo, which has a drop of 10%. It is the fastest part of the whole closure because animals are rested and also to go uphill, are more than flat, because their front legs are shorter than the rear. This first section also has another difficulty, which are the few holes out there for runners to protect (for how is urbanized street).
3. PLAZA CONSISTORIAL – CURVA DE MERCADERES
It is a short part but risky as usually many runners, and the final section has a 76 º curve that usually cause significant falls in the bulls.
This is the longest stretch of confinement, is practically straight while more content is clear. The danger of this section is that you can be a bull after falling behind the curve merchants.
5. TELEFÓNICA – PLAZA DE TOROS
The entrance to the bullring is the most spectacular part of the enclosure, but also very dangerous due to the narrowness of the alley, with 20m long and between 4 and 4.4 m wide. This stretch usually produce “lots” of runners on the ground, due to the inexperience of many and the little space there is. When doing this stretch of the route is recommended to step aside to enter the square.
